MISHAWAKA, Ind. – The Goshen men's tennis team played their only meet of the spring season on Saturday in Mishawaka, defeating the Bethel Pilots 4-3 in non-conference competition.
Goshen had two dominant doubles wins from the duos of
Kevin Bollmann and
Insee Akarapan at the no. one spot and
Pedro Scattolon and
Mario Gomez at the no. two spot. That gave Goshen the team point, meaning the 3-3 split in the singles matches was enough to provide Goshen with the win.
Scattolon and Gomez each won in straight sets, and Akarapan won his tiebreak 10-7.
Goshen improved their record to 6-10 this season.
