FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The men's tennis team moved their win streak to four ant their conference record to 5-1 with two wins on Saturday in Fort Wayne. The Leafs defeated Saint Francis (Ind.) 7-0 before taking down Bethel 5-2.

Against Saint Francis, a few Maple Leafs had particularly dominant outings. Filippo Gallo won 6-0, 6-1 at no. 2 singles, Mario Gomez won 6-1, 6-1 at no. 5 singles, and Insee Akarapan won 6-1, 6-1 at no. 6 singles. Gomez and partner Kevin Bollmann won in no. 3 doubles 6-0.

Goshen lost no. 1 and no. 2 singles against Bethel, but Pedro Scattolon, Bollmann, Gomez and Akarapn all snagged wins in their singles matches. Then, Goshen swept all three doubles matches to earn the team point, winning by 6-4, 6-4, and 6-2 scores.

The Leafs are 5-1 in Crossroads League play and 5-2 overall. The only teams currently above Goshen in the league standings are Grace and Huntington, who are both 4-0. Goshen challenges #25 Marian and (RV) Grave in Indianapolis on Tuesday, September 13. GC faces the Knights at 9:00 am and the Lancers at 1:00 pm.
