GOSHEN, Ind. - The Goshen women's tennis team ended their home opener with two losses. Spring Arbor beat out the Leafs 6-1 in the morning, and Indiana Wesleyan won 7-0 in the evening.

Carmen Aliaga picked up Goshen's point at no. 2 singles against the Cougars. The first-year defeated Rebekah Pake 6-4, 7-6(4). Aliaga and Szofia Kallai earned a victory at no. 1 doubles, 6-2, but the Cougars won the team point 2-1. Sarah Hinshaw had a close contest at no. 3 singles, but Kenzi Sells outlasted her 5-7, 6-2, (10-8).

Kallai had the closest competition in the nightcap, but Indiana Wesleyan's France Antezana won 7-5, 5-7, (10-5). IWU won the team point 3-0.

The Leafs are at Saint Francis this Saturday, September 10. Goshen faces the Cougars at 9:00 am before meeting Bethel at 1:00 pm.
