SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The Goshen women's tennis team put up a strong fight against Bethel on Saturday, a team with a 9-1 conference record. The Pilots won 4-3.

Goshen nearly pulled off the win even though they didn't fill the #6 singles or #3 doubles position. It was quite the improvement from a 7-0 loss in September and the first time they had won any matches against Bethel since 2022.

Sude Aytekin and Szofia Kallai won the #1 doubles match defiantly by a 6-1 score. Bethel took the doubles point with a win at the #2 position and a win by forfeit at #3 doubles.

Goshen's three points came from #1 through #3 singles. Aytekin and Kallai won again in their singles matches, and Blanka Bodo won 7-6, 6-1. The Pilots won at #4 and #5 singles and won at #6 singles by forfeit.

The women are at IU-Kokomo on Friday, March 29, at 4:00 pm.
