ALLENDALE, Mich. - Five Goshen runners competed at the Bill Clinger Classic held at Grand Valley State University on Friday. The teams will be at the George Glass Invitational at Taylor University tomorrow.

Jordan Garlinger came in 27th of 65 in the men's mile with a time of 4:20.92. It was more than a two-second improvement from his 4:23.16 time a week ago at the Mastodon Invitational where he came in second of 41.

Kevin Liddell came in seventh of 12 in the 600 meters at 1:24.39 - 1.19 seconds behind the school record from 2018. In the men's 3,000 meters, Anthony Roberts placed 30th of 76 at 8:50.31.

The Leafs had two runners in the women's 3,000 meters. Stephany Claudio and Mercy Chebet finished side-by-side in their heat of the race, with Claudio crossing the line in 10:30.66 and Chebet in 10:30.99. They came in 15th and 16th out of 56 participants.

Saturday's George Glass Invitational will start at 9:30 with field events and 10:00 will be the beginning of the running events.
