GOSHEN, Ind. — Blanka Bodo, a junior on the women's tennis team, has been named the Everence Student-Athlete of the Week for September 29 - October 5!
Bodo won 6-0, 6-1 at #2 singles in Goshen's 4-0 win over Tennessee Southern. With Maria Clara Fonte, the duo won 6-2 at #3 doubles.
She paired with Fonte at the Fall Invitational where they won 6-2 in the quarterfinals, 6-0 in the semifinals, and then won 6-4 in the finals of the women's A doubles bracket. Then in the A bracket for singles, she swept the quarterfinals 6-0, 6-0, won in the semifinals 6-4, 6-3 and then 6-3, 6-4 in the finals. Bodo had an 8-0 week overall and has a combined record of 16-2 this year between singles and doubles.

The Everence Student-Athlete of the Week award recognizes outstanding performances by Goshen College student-athletes and is selected each week by the GC sports information office. It is sponsored by Everence, a faith-based financial services organization headquartered in Goshen.
