Men's tennis receiving votes in preseason coaches' poll

Goshen is the fourth-highest team in the Crossroads League

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - After a strong fall season with a 4-1 record and a Crossroads League record of 5-3 from a season ago, the Goshen men's tennis team is receiving votes in the 2025-26 NAIA Men's Tennis Preseason Coaches' Poll, as announced by the NAIA on Wednesday afternoon.

Goshen received 20 votes, which is the 32nd highest in the NAIA. Keiser (Fla.) is ranked first, with 297 total votes and nine of the 12 first-place votes. 51 votes was required to get into the top 25. From the Crossroads League, Goshen is behind #14 Grace, #17 Huntington and #22 Marian. Bethel received 11 votes. Grace, Huntington and Marian were Goshen's only losses in conference play last year.

This fall, Goshen has beat Prairie State (7-0), Olivet Nazarene (6-1), Hope (6-1) and Tennessee Southern (4-2) with a loss against Grand Valley State (2-5). Tennessee Southern is ranked #20 in the poll. The Maple Leafs are next in action on February 6th at Northwood and February 7th at Hillsdale. The first regular-season edition of the poll will come out on February 11.

Goshen men's tennis accomplishments this fall:
  • Goshen never gave up more than three games in any of the 15 sets they played between doubles and singles against Prairie State
  • The Maple Leafs won all the singles matches in straight sets against Prairie State
  • Goshen beat ONU 5-2 back in March, but beat them 6-1 in September
  • First time since 2019 the team has won its first four road matches of the season
  • Six of Goshen's seven players that competed in the round of 64 in the main ITA men's singles bracket won their match
  • Every player who has competed in at least one doubles match this season has a win percentage of at least 66.7%
  • Every player who has competed in at least one singles match this season has a win percentage of at least 58.3%
  • Iago Cicuio, Filippo Gallo, Joaquin Luque and Garrett Stoltzfus all have doubles records of 7-1 or better
  • Receiving votes in the preseason NAIA coaches' top 25 poll (fourth-highest team in the Crossroads League)
