MIDLAND, Mich. - The Goshen men's tennis team lost to Northwood on the first day of February by a score of 6-1. Goshen's win came from Matija Margetic in #3 singles.

Goshen won no more than two games in any of the three doubles matches. In singles, Margetic won 7-5, 7-5 over Alessandro Parigi, the last match of the day, needing an hour and 47 minutes to finish. Timo Novak and Filippo Gallo put up strong fights in #1 and #2 singles. At #2 singles, Novak lost 6-1, 7-6. Gallo lost his matchup 6-4, 7-6.

Margetic's singles win ended a stretch of three straight singles losses for the junior from Croatia. He now has a singles record of 6-3 this season.

Goshen is at Lawrence Tech on Saturday, February 8, at 3:00 pm.
