Box Score 2 ST. JOSEPH, Mich. - Women's tennis won both of their matches on Friday to improve their record to 6-9. Goshen dominated Spring Arbor 6-1 before beating Saint Mary's 4-3. Goshen has won two straight against Spring Arbor after losing the previous 18 matchups.

Blanka Bodo and
Sara Nino won at #1 doubles 6-2 and
Uliana Dotsenko and
Ariadna Otin O'Callaghan won at #2 doubles 6-3 to take the doubles point. Goshen's five singles wins came in positions one through five. Dotsenko had a dominant 6-0, 6-2 win in #2 singles. Nino and Otin O'Callaghan also won in straight sets. Bodo got the win at #1 singles and
Morgan Priebe at #5 singles.
This is Goshen's most dominant win against the Cougars since at least 2006. Goshen won earlier in the season 5-2. The 11 points from the Leafs over their last two matches against SAU is equal to the number of points they scored in the prior 14 matchups before that.

The same doubles teams secured the doubles point again for the Maple Leafs later in the day when they took on Saint Mary's. Bodo and Dotsenko dominated in singles, with Bodo only losing three games and Dotsenko only two. However, Saint Mary's won at #4, #5 and #6 singles.
Sara Nino came away with a gritty 6-2, 7-5 win at #3 singles to help secure the one-point win for Goshen. Goshen won by the same score a year ago on February 16, 2024.
After Friday's results, Bodo, Dotsenko, Nino and Otin O'Callaghan have all won four straight doubles matches. Bodo has also won four straight singles matches and Dotsenko is on a three-match win streak. Dotsenko has an 11-4 singles record and Bodo is at 10-5.
Goshen is in Lima, Ohio on Thursday, March 6, to face Northwestern Ohio at 9:00 am and Arizona Christian at 2:00 pm.
