GOSHEN, Ind. — Uliana Dotsenko, a freshman on the women's tennis team, has been named the Everence Student-Athlete of the Week for February 17 - February 23!

In Goshen's 6-1 win over Spring Arbor, Dotsenko won 6-3 in doubles with Ariadna Otin O'Callaghan and 6-0, 6-2 in her singles match. It was Goshen's most dominant win against the Cougars since at least 2006. Goshen won earlier in the season 5-2. The 11 points from the Leafs over their last two matches against SAU is equal to the number of points they scored in the prior 14 matchups before that.

Later in the day against Saint Mary's, Dotsenko continued the dominance with a 6-2 doubles win and another 6-0, 6-2 singles win. Friday marked the eighth and ninth times this season that Dotsenko has won both her singles and doubles match against an opponent. She has won her last four doubles matches and now has a 10-5 doubles record this season. She is on a three-match win streak in singles and has an 11-4 record there. This is the second time in the last three weeks that Dotsenko has been named the Everence Student-Athlete of the Week.

Way to go, Uliana!

The Everence Student-Athlete of the Week award recognizes outstanding performances by Goshen College student-athletes and is selected each week by the GC sports information office. It is sponsored by Everence, a faith-based financial services organization headquartered in Goshen.
