JACKSON, Mich. - In the final week of his collegiate tennis career, Pedro Scattolon went out with a bang. The senior was named the Crossroads League Men's Tennis Player of the Week for April 14-20.

Scattolon capped off his career at Goshen with a singles and doubles win against Grace (18-3). He ended his time as a Maple Leaf with six straight wins in singles.

Scattolon lost his first set at #6 singles 3-6 and won the next 7-6 with a particularly intense 11-9 tiebreaker score. The final set was also closely contested, as Scattolon prevailed with a narrow 11-9 victory. The senior from Rosario, Argentina was 7-6 before his singles win streak, but now holds a 13-6 singles record this season. He also won eight of his last nine singles matches. Scattolon won 6-2 at #3 doubles with his partner Joaquin Luque.

This is the third different Goshen men's tennis player to earn the Crossroads League Men's Tennis Player of the Week award this season. Scattolon joins Timo Novak (September 16-22) and Filippo Gallo (March 10-16). Goshen is tied with Saint Francis and Bethel with 14 Crossroads League Athlete of the Week award winners this year and one behind Huntington's 15 winners.
