ALLENDALE, Mich. - Goshen sent a small contingent of distance runners to the GVSU Early Meet on Friday. Kevin Liddell was the highest finisher, coming in 12th in the men's 800 meters.

Liddell was 12th of 37 in his one event of the day, finishing in a time of 1:59.05. Goshen had three runners in the men's 1500 meters. In a field of 71 competitors, Jordan Garlinger came in 24th place with a time of 4:01.02 and Anthony Roberts, competing in the same heat, was 25th overall at 4:01.06. Bruno Kipsang finished 40th at 4:10.43.

Mercy Chebet was the lone member from the women's team competing. She came in 15th out of 42 in the women's 1500 meters, posting a 4:50.80 time.

Goshen was to compete at the Huntsman Family Invitational on Saturday at Wabash College but the meet was canceled due to the weather. Goshen is next set to compete on April 11 and 12 at the Indiana Little State Championships held at Indiana Wesleyan University.
