Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 BOURBONNAIS, Ill. - Both Goshen tennis teams cruised to victory on the road at Olivet Nazarene on Friday afternoon. The women won 7-0 and the men came out on top 6-1. The two teams have combined to win their matches 20-1 so far this season.

Women - Goshen 7, Olivet Nazarene 0
The Goshen women didn't allow the Tigers to win more than three games in any of the 15 sets between both doubles and singles. Blanka Bodo and Sara Nino won 6-3 at #1 doubles, and the pairs of Vishmi Serainghe and Marin Kawano and then Maria Clara Fonte and Arianngel Mosquera won 6-0 at #2 and #3 doubles, respectively.

After winning 14 games at #2 singles last season, the most in program history, Uliana Dotsenko started her sophomore season with a 6-3, 6-2 win at #1 singles. That was the closest match in singles, as the remaining Leafs didn't allow more than three games to be won by their opponents. Bodo had a particularly strong showing at #2 singles, winning 6-0, 6-0. Serasinghe won 6-0, 6-1 at #3 singles, Sara Nino won 6-1, 6-1 at #4, Marin Kawano won by the same score at #5 and Maria Clara Fonte was the victor at #6 singles, 6-1, 6-2. The GC women played at ONU back in March of this year, winning 5-2.

Men - Goshen 6, Olivet Nazarene 1
The men had some closer sets in doubles, but they still pulled through and won all three. Timo Novak and Denis Stanculov won 6-4 at #1 doubles and Iago Cicui and Garrett Stoltzfus won by the same score at #2. Paulo Lopez and Joaquin Luque won 6-3 at #3 doubles.

Goshen's only loss came in a tiebreak at #1 singles, but the Maple Leafs won all the other singles matchups in the second set. Novak won at #2 singles when his opponent retired in the second set after Novak had won the first. Filippo Gallo won 6-0, 6-3 at #3 singles. Stoltzfus dominated 6-1, 6-0 at #4 and Lopez reigned victorious 6-2, 6-1 at #5 singles. Luque rounded out the GC success at #6 singles with a 6-1, 6-1 win. The men beat ONU 5-2 earlier this year, losing the doubles point and #4 singles.

The men are at Hope College on Saturday at 3:00 pm.
