ALLENDALE, Mich. - The men's indoor track and field distance medley relay team ran the 13th best time in the NAIA and qualified for nationals in the event as the Leafs competed at the GVSU Big Meet - Saturday.

Bruno Kipsang and
Drew Hogan surpassed the NAIA B standard of 10:11 by completing the 4,000 meter race in a time of 10:08.88. The Leafs finished 16th of 23 teams in the race, but fifth among the NAIA schools. This was the fourth-fastest indoor distance medley relay in program history. The distance medley relay team joins three other Goshen qualifiers for the NAIA National Championships in Gainesville, Florida -
Samuel Sofolahan in the 60 meters,
Drew Hogan in the mile and
Duncan Kogei in the 5,000 meters.
Duncan Kogei came in fourth of 87 runners in the men's 3,000 meters. His time of 8:32.36 was 5.05 seconds slower than his time from one day ago. In the men's 60 meters,
Danial Murphy placed 12th of 100 with a time of 6.99 seconds after going 6.95 on Friday.
Liam Shaw competed in the shot put and the weight throw. In the shot put, his top throw was 14.29 meters (46 feet, 10.75 inches), which was good for 21st out of 60. Shaw came in 32nd out of 46 in the weight throw with a toss of 11.92 meters (39 feet, 1.25 inches).
The Crossroads League Championships is on Friday, February 20 and Saturday, February 21 in Upland, Indiana, hosted by Taylor University.
