Ran at Schoolcraft High School … team captain, district champion, all-conference honorable mention … also played soccer, baseball and football … participated in Key Club, Common Bond and Writers Club … transferring from Kalamazoo Valley Community College.

PERSONAL:
Born on May 8 … parents are Mike and Annie Waterman … has a sibling, Riley (20) … chose Goshen “because of the reputation it has with its English program. I also love the size of the school being much smaller than my previous schools. It is a great honor to be able to represent my new school athletically--it has always been my dream to take my athletics to the next level, and Goshen was the most accepting school for me” … admires Meb Keflezghi “because of his transparency as a professional athlete. He serves as my number one role model in my running life and faith. I was also at the Boston Marathon on the year of the bombing. It shook the city, and when Meb came back to Boston to win the Marathon the following year--to reclaim the city of Boston for America--it was the most inspirational thing I have ever witnessed” … little-known personal fact is “rice is my favorite carb” … best athletic moment is “running my first marathon in 3:01:44 after a training cycle plagued with injuries.”
