HIGH SCHOOL:
Played for coach Matt Miller at Bethany Christian High School ... also played basketball ... won 2014 team MVP in tennis and mental attitude award in basketball.

PERSONAL:
Born on July 30 ... parents are Beth and Kevin ... has three brothers, Nathan (26), Jacob (23) and Martin (16) ... chose Goshen because "it gave me the chance to play tennis while providing a great pre-med program"... admires his high school tennis coach because "he has cared for every person on our team no matter what they were like or what they played on the team and made tennis the core of my happiest moments of high school" ... best athletic moment was "when me and my #1 doubles partner had progressed onto individual sectionals and we won the first round. In the first round we played the best opponents that we had played earlier in the season. They were also the team we lost the worst to at 2-6, 2-6. When we played them in individual sectionals we lost the first set bad at 1-6 and then we made a huge comeback when we won the second set at 6-4. The third set we also won in a tiebreaker with a tiebreaker score of 7-5 (that's a really close tiebreaker). So our greatest loss from earlier had become our greatest comeback and closest win."
