Played for Coach Sarah Yoder at Bethany Christian High School… was named Outstanding Scholar-Athlete… received Sportsmanship Award after senior year… also played volleyball… co-valedictorian of graduating class… a National Hispanic Scholar Finalist.

Born on May 18… parents are Jim Alvarez and Diane Beam… has one sister, Sara (21)… chose Goshen because "the strong community, Christian values, and SST program were key factors"… admires her parents "for raising my sister and I to be who we are today; for both pushing and supporting us when we needed it most"… little known fact is "I have slept through a hurricane."
