Competed for Coach Nick Sisson at Newton High School in Kansas… also competed in track and soccer… was a 5A State Medalist in the long jump.

PERSONAL:
Born on May 25… parents are Shafiq and Beverly… chose Goshen because "I chose to study at Goshen College because despite it being hundreds of miles away from Kansas, the college felt like home"… admires Rachel Corrie "because she stood for peace in spite of violence and injustice"… little known fact is "I can't stand the texture of newspaper."
