PERSONAL:
Born on June 20 … parents are Bertha and Pico Zarate … has two siblings, Sandra and Samantha … chose Goshen because "it was close to home, and the town is right out of a movie. I loved the environment Goshen was offering and its honesty a perfect fit for me” … most admires her coach from high school because “I admire his way of always finding ways for us to improve. He was hard on me not to be mean but because he saw something in me I didn’t see” … little-known personal fact is “when I was in second grade I broke my collarbone roller skating and have never been since, but I like ice skating?” … best athletic moment was “my state ticket match for wrestling, when we were in our last round and about one minute left on the clock and I pinned my opponent, and I pushed myself to my limits and gave it my all to win and go to state”
