Scott Hutcherson begins his first season as assistant coach of the Goshen College Maple Leafs Softball team in 2012 after spending the previous 3 years as Head Coach at Goshen High School.  Originally from Warsaw, Hutcherson attended the University of Northern Iowa where he wrestled before graduating from Grace College in 1991. 

During Hutcherson's tenor at Goshen High School, he lead the team to their first ever Northern Lakes Conference and Sectional  championships, breaking almost every team and individual record in the school's history, including a winning record of 73-17 over the past 3 years.   Hutcherson was also the 2010 & 2011 NLC Coach of the Year and 2011 4A Coach of the Year where he had the privilege of coaching the Indiana North All-Star Team in Carmel, Indiana. In 2009 & 2011, Hutcherson was also selected to coach the Indiana East Girls Softball team in the South Bend Tribune Sports Festival, winning the tournament in 2011.

Scott and Wife Melanie have three children, Kayla (19 (North Central College), Danielle (15) (Warsaw Community High School) and Jacob (9) (Eisenhower Elementary) who reside in Winona Lake.
