GOSHEN, Ind. — The Goshen College men's and women's tennis teams opened their spring seasons Monday against Anderson University with the men winning and the women losing by identical 9-0 scores.
Kartikeya Sharma led the GC men (11-3) with a shutout victory, winning 6-0, 6-0 at no. 3 singles. Danny Boussom and Juan Miguel Ciudad each dropped two games, rounding out the Maple Leafs' sweep of the top three singles spots.
Boussom and Josh Friesen paired up for an 8-2 win at no. 1 doubles, giving Goshen its most lopsided victory of that segment.
The Raven women (8-5) had four double winners on the afternoon as their top four singles players also paired off in doubles. Hannah Behm won five games to pace Goshen (2-11).
