JACKSON, Mich. - For the second time this season, Duncan Kogei has been named the Crossroads League Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week, as announced by the conference on Monday. This is the third time Goshen has had a men's cross country runner of the week this season and the fifth time they've had a male student-athlete of the week this school year in any sport.

Kogei came in 16th overall out of 167 total runners in the 8k Joe Piane Notre Dame Invite with a time of 24:47.3. #20 Goshen placed ahead of #8 Spring Arbor and beat Division I teams DePaul, Valparaiso, Milwaukee, Robert Morris, Western Illinois and Kent State.

Kogei's times this season, in his first year as a Maple Leaf, have gotten better meet by meet. He started with a 25:20.5 time at Indiana Wesleyan, then improved to a 24:58.4 time at Michigan State and displayed an impressive 24:47.3 at Notre Dame.

Goshen competes at the Bethel Invite on Friday, October 10.
