This is the team's sixth appearance at the championship in the last seven years

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The NAIA revealed their team and individual qualifiers for the 2025 NAIA Cross Country National Championships on Tuesday evening, and the Goshen College men's team claimed one of the 13 at-large bids. The Maple Leafs also bumped up two spots to #17 in the final edition of the cross country top 25 coaches' rating.

This is the sixth time in the last seven years that the Goshen men's cross country team has qualified for the NAIA national championship and the seventh time overall (2014, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2025). It is the 15th time any Goshen team has qualifed, joining women's cross country (2023, 2024), women's basketball (2004, 2016) and men's soccer (1971, 1973, 1977, 2006).

Indiana Wesleyan earned one of the 23 automatic bids by winning the Crossroads League Championship last weekend. Among the remaining 13 at-large selections, four were filled by Crossroads schools - Taylor, Spring Arbor, Goshen and Marian. That is tied for the most at-large qualifier spots among all the conferences, with the Cascade Collegiate Conference having four as well. Goshen was the eighth-highest team that didn't win their conference championship to earn an at-large spot.

In the coaches' top 25 rating, the top five teams all remained the same. After placing ahead of Marian at the league meet, a team that was ahead of the Leafs in the rankings, Goshen jumped from #19 to #17. GC started the season at #21 and hasn't dropped any positions this entire year - they have either held steady or moved up.

The national championship will be held at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee, Florida on November 21, 2025 and will be live streamed for free on the Urban Edge Network. The men's race will start at 9:30 am ET.
