MISHAWAKA, Ind. - Goshen lost a pair of close games at Bethel on Friday. The Pilots won 6-5 and 5-2. Both teams had the same number of hits and errors in both games, but the Pilots came away with more runs in each.
Game One

The crucial moment came in the sixth inning, where Bethel rallied to score three runs and shifted the momentum in their favor. The Leafs had four hits but no runs from the fifth through the ninth inning. They left runners on base in four of the last five innings.

Logan Wilson then came in and threw the next 3.2 innings in relief, allowing three earned runs and taking the loss.
AJ Lenn threw the last inning, not allowing any runs or hits.

Game Two
The temperature had risen from 62 degrees in game one to 76 degrees by game two. Bethel took a 2-0 lead in the first inning and never looked back.

Aidan Calvey had an RBI single and
Joshua Rubio came up right after and reached on an error, scoring
Fernando Marte Santana from third.
But after getting one quick out in the bottom of the sixth, Pettipiece allowed three straight hits, one being a two-run home run.
