GOSHEN, Ind. - Goshen men's volleyball received five end-of-year awards on Wednesday afternoon, as announced by the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC).
Ben Koop was named Second Team All-Conference and
Andrea Biffi made the Champion of Character Team.
Kendrick Acda,
Sawyer Frystak and
Ben Koop earned All-Academic honors.
Koop averaged 3.34 kills and 0.41 aces per set this season. He had 311 total kills, a drastic difference from the 56 in his first season with the Leafs a year ago. He was the men's volleyball attacker of the week for the WHAC during the week of January 20-26.
Freshman
Andrea Biffi was Goshen's representative on the Champion of Character Team. One member from each team who best represents the five core character values of integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership is selected for the Champions of Character Team.
Acda, Frystak and Koop made it on the All-Academic Team. They were required to have a 3.25 cumulative GPA and attend the nominating school for one full year.
