GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - #10 Cornerstone put down 15 aces in a three-set sweep of the Maple Leafs in Grand Rapids on Saturday afternoon. The Golden Eagles won 25-17, 25-15, 25-14 and improved their record to 21-6 overall and 11-2 in the WHAC.

Cornerstone quickly went up 8-1 in the first set and Goshen never had a lead in the set. Similarly, it was a 9-1 start for the home team in the next set without the Maple Leafs taking a lead, and then 8-2 to start the third set.

The Golden Eagles had 15 aces compared to one for the Leafs. Goshen had a .286 hitting percentage in the first set but only had four kills in the second set and ten attack errors in the third.

Andrea Biffi had six kills and a .444 hitting percentage to lead the Goshen attack. Sawyer Frystak was the leader in digs with nine. Avery LaForce had 16 assists.

Goshen wraps up Senior Day on Saturday, April 12, at 3:00 pm against Lawrence Tech. Senior Pablo Sanchez will be recognized for the Leafs.
