JACKSON, Mich. - Two members of the Goshen baseball team earned All-League honors, as announced by the Crossroads League on Wednesday afternoon.
Eric Pettipiece made the All-Crossroads League Second-Team and
Justin Dambruck made the conference Gold Glove Team at third base.
Pettipiece is the first Goshen pitcher to earn all-conference honors since Camm Nickell and Kyle Staelgraeve did so in 2021. He had the third-best ERA in the Crossroads League this season at 3.55 after being out all of 2024 due to injury. He threw four complete games after totaling one through his first three seasons and ranked second in the Crossroads League in that category. Pettipiece's ERA improved each season - from a 13.72 ERA in 2021, 7.83 in 2022, 5.33 in 2023 and 3.84 in 2025.
Justin Dambruck, a junior, had a .935 fielding percentage at the hot corner. He had 33 putouts and 53 assists. Dambruck had six errors on the season, but all of them came from March 11 or earlier and only one was in a conference game. He made no errors this year at "Sarge" Yoder Field.
Taylor swept the regular season and tournament championships for a second-straight year. Kaleb Kolpien (Taylor) won the Crossroads League Player of the Year award. Gabel Pentecost (Taylor) was Pitcher of the Year, Jared Hurlburt (Mount Vernon Nazarene) earned Newcomer of the Year and Kyle Gould (Taylor) took the Coach of the Year honor. This was his eighth time earning the award.
Andrew Dillon (Bethel) won the Crossroads League Baseball Courage Award. Dillon found out he had cancer on February 14. Doctors successfully removed most of the baseball-sized tumor in his head and he began radiation and daily chemo. He returned and played his first game on March 22 and had four-straight games where he recorded a hit in April.
