LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Thirteen student-athletes on the Goshen softball team were recognized last week as Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes for the 2024-25 academic year.

Esme Pico,
Shay Pipher,
Grace Schmitt,
Jasmin Smith,
Tanae Smith and
Shea VanScoter are the Maple Leafs receiving the honors.
According to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association, the honors recognize the academic prowess of softball teams across the Association's membership categories. The NAIA had 895 student-athletes meeting the required 3.5 grade-point average - 22 more than the year before.
Goshen College had one more representative than they did the year prior and five more compared to two years ago.

Ella Mcleod has been a Scholar-Athlete the past three years. This was the fourth consecutive year earning the award for

Alyssa McDonald and
Grace Schmitt.
Goshen was one of 37 schools recognized with a team GPA of 3.40Â or higher, coming in at 3.439. Four were Crossroads League schools - Goshen, Spring Arbor, Mount Vernon Nazarene and Indiana Wesleyan.
