PERSONAL:
Born on November 20 … parents are Rory and Karena … has two siblings, Dylan (22) and Natalie (11) … chose Goshen “because of the great things I heard about the broadcasting department. I also fell in love with the coaches and the sense of community that the team and school gave off. Not only that, but I really wanted to get out of Utah and get a real college experience, and if moving half way across the country doesn't cut it then I don't know what will” … most admires her mom because “she is the strongest and one of the hardest working people that I know. She was able to go through nursing school while also taking care of me and my brother when we were kids. It was really difficult, but she did it and graduated from Westminster College. She has taught me to be independent and confident in myself. She also has a great sense of style and will always tell me if my outfit looks good before I leave the house. She has continued to push me and my siblings to be better, while also being there for us if we fall down” … little-known personal fact is “my grandmother is from Okinawa, Japan and I actually visited there when I was a kid” … best athletic moment is her first home run – “It was my sophomore year in high school and it was a state playoff game. It was 5-1 in the bottom of the sixth, and I was up. I hit the home run over the left field fence and I was so excited I jumped up and down on the bags. The next inning the other team scored 4 runs, which would've tied up the game had I not hit that home run. I was so happy and my team was so excited for me which just made it that much better.”
