2020: Hit .265 as a senior, playing and starting every game but one in the shortened season ... missed a total of two games in his last three years ... finished with 13 hits, a double and six runs batted in ... also walked 7 times, good for second place on the team ... one of two players to get hit with a pitch more than once ... third on the team in both batting average and on-base percentage ... finished his career with a 5-for-7 doubleheader against Taylor on 3/7, two of his five multi-hit games.
2019:Â Only Maple Leaf to play in every game ... started all 49 contests as well ... hit safely in 3 straight games 2/26 to 3/2 ... middle game of that stretch was a 3-for-6 performance 2/27 at Hiwassee ... also recorded a 7-game hit streak from 3/19 to 3/26 ... finished the year with 5 multi-hit games ... homered 4/12 vs. Huntington and 5/6 vs. Spring Arbor ... third on the team with 17 walks.Â
2018:Â Played and started in all but one of the team's games, one of five Leafs with 50 or more starts ... drew 27 walks, third on the team, and drove in 24 runs, good for fifth ... laced 8 doubles, including a pair 2/18 vs. Grace ... that started a 4-game hitting streak ... later bettered that effort with a 5-gamer from 4/11 to 4/17 ... went 3 for 5 with a double 4/27 at Huntington ... batted 2 for 3, plating 2 runs, 5/1 vs. Rochester ... finished with 5 multi-hit games ... drove in a season-high 3 twice, 2/25 vs. Reinhardt and 2/26 vs. Toccoa Falls.Â
2017:Â Started 22 games and played 34 as a freshman ... registered hits in four of first six games ... first career doubles came in back-to-back games, 3/4 and 3/5 at Berea, part of a four-game hitting streak ... 2 for 4 with a double, a run batted in and 3 runs scored in the latter game ... that was his first of 3 multi-hit performances ... also doubled 3/22 vs. Calumet ... two singles 4/28 vs. Huntington.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Played for coach Tim Pirowski at Portage High School ... Times Athlete of the Week ... also played tennis where he was MVP, team captain and honorable mention all-state ... was a scholar-athlete.
