PERSONAL:
Born on December 28 … parents are Mirna and Jose Herrera … has one sibling, Alessandra Herrera … chose Goshen “because everyone was so welcoming and made me feel like I had been attending for a year already. The girls on the softball team made me feel a part of the team already, and it made me so excited to be a part of the Goshen family” … most admires her mom and dad because "they have worked so hard and put so much time and money into my softball and have done everything in their power to help me become a better player. The effort they put in has not gone unnoticed and without them, I would not be the person or player I am today" … little-known personal fact is “I am a poet and I love to write poetry when I am feeling strong emotions” … best athletic moment is “either hitting my first homer after years of working towards it or signing to play for Goshen softball. As a child, my old coaches told me I wasn't good enough for college or to hit a home run so I strived to prove them wrong”
