AT GOSHEN:
2020: Started 10 games and appeared in one off the bench in a pandemic-shortened season ... drove in six men with a double and four singles ... also walked 5 times and dropped a sacrifice bunt ... double was his first career hit 2/16 vs. Concordia ... never struck out more than once in a game ... threw out first would-be base stealer 2/23 vs. Montreat.

HIGH SCHOOL:
Played for coaches Paul Schlosser and Intek Hong at Monsignor McCoy High School ... won team MVP award … also won Hardest Worker, MVP and all-district in summer ball ... won Excellence in Physics award and was on the honour roll … transferring from Indian Hills Community College

PERSONAL:
Born on October 2 ... parents are Tonya Hazzard and Shane Whelen ... brother to Hayley Whelen (16) ... chose Goshen “because of the coaches and the opportunity to continue my baseball career”... best athletic moment was winning two straight provincial championships in high school.
