Biography

AT GOSHEN:
2013: One of two players on the roster to play in 43 games... led the team with a .343 batting average, 16 doubles, 17 RBIs, 20 walks, a .427 on-base percentage, and 13 stolen bases... his 16 doubles tied him for the third most in a single season in program history... also moved into tie for 10th with 26 career stolen bases... had a career high 8-game hitting streak against Grace, MVNU, and Spring Arbor... posted 13 multi-hit games, including three with three hits... had four games with multiple doubles, including two against Marian... appeared in nine contests on the mound, striking out eight in 9.1 innings of work.
2012: In debut season for the Maple Leafs, started all 49 games… finished the year with a .306 batting average, seven doubles, and 17 runs batted in… led the team with 13 stolen bases and was caught just three times… third on the team with 25 runs scored and second with 157 at bats… also made four appearances on the mound, all in relief… pitched a total of three innings, striking out three… started Goshen career on a seven-game hitting streak and hit safely in 12 of his first 13 games overall… was 3-for-3 with career best four knocked in against Houghton on 2/27… had a 3-for-4 game with two doubles against Huntington on 4/19… overall, had a hit in 31 of 49 games… had three games with two stolen bases each.

HIGH SCHOOL:

Played for Coach Chris Lemert at Elkhart Christian Academy… best athletic moment was "going 7-of-8 with three home runs and 12 runs batted in during a double header during senior year"… also played soccer… previously attended Bethel College.

PERSONAL:

Parents are Richard and Debra… chose Goshen because "It was near home and to play baseball"… admires his father because "he has been the biggest influence in my life and has helped me mature exponentially"… little known fact is "Been to five different schools in five consecutive years."
