AT GOSHEN:
2019: Ran in four meets as a senior ... had best career team placing on 10/11 at Bethel, when he was fifth on the team and 181st overall in 30:39.5 ... ran the fastest time of his career 9/7 at Knight Invitational in Grand Rapids, running 8k in 30:09.9 ... paced between 6:04 and 6:10 per mile in all four races.
2018: Ran in four meets ... made collegiate cross-country debut 9/7 at IWU Twilight Classic, finishing 112th overall and 10th on the team in 32:41.3 ... set career-best time and placing one meet later at Ray Bullock Invitational on 9/21 ... finished 100th overall and 9th on the team in 31:53.3 that day ...came within 5 seconds of new career-best time on 11/3 at conference championship.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Played for coaches Jerry Little and Rolando Urquizo at North Central High School … also participated in intramural basketball, soccer and volleyball … National Honor Society member … three-year Top 25 student.
PERSONAL:
Born on October 19 … parents are Marie Harnish and Ned Geiser … has two siblings, Hannah and Nathan Geiser (28) … chose Goshen “because my family up to my grandparents (except for 1 cousin) have all attended Goshen, and marine biology & Merry Lea were big factors” … little-known personal fact is “one of my best friends pierced my ear with a safety pin after two previous failed attempts” … admires Joshua Fields Millburn and Ryan Nicodemus, also known as the Minimalists … best athletic moment was “being the MVP of my 8th grade soccer team without scoring a single goal all season.”
