Jeff Phillips was announced as the Director of Volleyball at Goshen College on August 14, 2023. In this role, Phillips serves as the head coach of both the men's and women's volleyball teams. In February 2023, he was named the head coach for the women's team at GC.
In his tenure at Wawasee High School from 2011 to 2015 and then from 2019 to 2022, Phillips led the women's team to a 146-119 record and was responsible for implementing expectations and goals from the middle school level through the varsity level. He was an assistant coach at Warsaw High School from 2008 to 2010 and Tippecanoe Valley High School from 2007 to 2008.
Additionally, Phillips was a head coach in the Empowered Volleyball Academy, a program coach for the Outland Volleyball Club, and a summer camp coach for three years for Notre Dame volleyball.
Phillips graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University in 2003 and completed his master's of education at Indiana Wesleyan University in 2008. He was a social studies teacher at Wawasee and served other roles, including department chair, adjunct professor for Purdue University Fort Wayne, graduation assurance team member and crisis intervention team member. Phillips and his spouse Jennifer have three children, Wyatt, Lincoln and Radley.
