Emily began her coaching career as an assistant at Ithaca (NY) in 2010 as a part-time assistant. From there, Stanley made stops at Louisburg (N.C.) and Mars Hill University (N.C.) before accepting a position at Berry College (GA) in the fall of 2015 where she remained until 2022.

At Berry, Stanley filled the roles of both Adjunct Professor in the Kinesiology Department, Pitching Coach, and eventually Head Coach for the Vikings. From 2015-2020 Emily was part of a coaching staff that elevated the softball program to unprecedented heights and established Berry College as one of the premiere programs in the nation. From 2020-2022, Stanley took over as head coach and led the Vikings to the program's first appearance in the NCAA D-III College World Series, ending the 2022 season ranked 4th.

During Stanley's coaching tenure, she developed countless All-Conference performers, multiple Conference Pitchers of the Year, NFCA All-Region honorees, an All-American Pitcher and an NFCA Catcher of the Year recipient.  

Prior to becoming a collegiate coach,"Stan" was a former student-athlete at SUNY Purchase. She was voted a three-time captain and earned First-Team All-Conference honors. Emily earned her Masters of Science from Ithaca (NY) and is an NFCA 4 Star Master Coach.
