MARION, Ind. — Third-ranked Indiana Wesleyan University defended its home court from the Goshen College men's basketball team Wednesday night, topping the Maple Leafs 112-60 at Luckey Arena in a Crossroads League matchup.
Kyle Mangas scored a game-high 30 points on 15-of-16 shooting, Dylan Alderson canned 20 points and Tayson Parker added 17 with four 3-pointers apiece, and Seth Maxwell went 6-of-8 from the floor with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 3 blocks.
Phillip Hughes led Goshen with 13 points, including 2 triples. Michael Bowers was a point off the team lead, finishing with 12, but led the team with 6 assists, 3 rebounds and 2 steals. Quincy Mussio added a career-high 9 points.
The Wildcats (10-0, 3-0) shot 70 percent from the floor and 88 percent at the foul line in addition to connecting on 47 percent of their 3-pointers. They posted 68 points in the paint and grabbed 36 rebounds along with 14 steals.
Goshen (2-7, 0-2) shot 44 percent from the floor and connected on 5 triples.
The Maple Leafs return to Gunden Gymnasium on Saturday to host Spring Arbor University at 1 p.m. in the first game of a two-game homestand.
