After a pair of buckets in each goal in the first two minutes, Huntington held the Maple Leafs without a point for six possessions and almost five minutes as it raced to a 15-4 lead. The visitors led by as many as 15 in the first half, though Goshen cut that margin to as little as 7 with a 7-0 run beginning at the 3:00 mark. Pulver and Mitchell Wilson scored heading into the locker room to put HU up 38-29.
The Foresters scored six of the first eight points in the second half as well, going up by as many as 17. The Maple Leafs got as close as 11 on two occasions. Goshen shot 53 percent (17-for-32) from the floor after halftime after turning in a 38 percent (11-for-29) effort in the first period.
Sixteen of Curry's 20 points came in the second half as did 11 of Bowers' 17 and 12 of Pulver's 14.
While each team came in among the NAIA leaders in 3-pointers, the iron was unkind to both sets of shooters: Huntington finished 5-for-24 (21 percent) from long range and Goshen was 5-for-19 (26 percent).
Goshen returns to the floor on Saturday with a visit to Grace College in its shortest road trip of the season. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m. at the Manahan Orthopaedic Capital Center.
