MISHAWAKA, Ind. – The women's volleyball season wrapped up on Saturday as Goshen took on Bethel in a U.S. Highway 20 Cup match in Mishawaka. The Pilots won in three sets, 25-10, 25-14, and 25-12.
Bethel established quick leads in the first and third sets, but Goshen hung around in the second set. The Leafs had a 10-9 lead after an ace from Amy Baca. However, the Pilots ended the set with a 16-4 run.
Bethel didn't have any players with ten or more kills but had six players with at least six kills. Sadie Brenneman had nine kills for Goshen with four digs. Iva Miletic had four kills, three assists, and a .214 hitting percentage.
Emily Lynch led the team in kills this season (282), with Brenneman not far behind (265). Sydney Stutsman had 639 assists, and Jaelyn Amhdar put together 305. Christina Towne led the Leafs with 20 service aces, and Brenneman led in digs with 328. Brenna Spangler and Amy Baca were a blocking duo with 70 and 69 blocks, respectively.
The Crossroads League tournament begins on Saturday with Taylor as the one-seed.
