WINONA LAKE, Ind. – The Lancer outscored the Goshen men's basketball team by 22 in the second half in a 94-58 rout of the Maple Leafs on Tuesday night. Grace is the #3 team in the NAIA.
Grace had the lead wire-to-wire. Goshen was only down two with five minutes to go in the first half, but Grace had a 15-3 scoring run for the rest of the half. They scored 49 points in the second half, primarily from Elijah Malone, Cade Gibbs, and Frankie Davidson. The Lancers shot 53.0% from the field, while Goshen was at 31.3%.
Grace had 22 fast break points and doubled Goshen in points in the paint. They had a +15 rebounding margin to go with it. Goshen had four double-digit scorers. Kaden Johnson had 14 points and seven rebounds. Judah Simfukwe scored 15 points off the bench, Greg Johnson had 11 points, and Elias Ramirez added ten points with seven rebounds.
Grace remains undefeated at 8-0. Goshen (1-6, 0-2 CL) is at home on Wednesday, November 30, for their next competition. That game will start at 7:00 pm.
