LIVONIA, Mich. - The Madonna Crusaders men's basketball team won their fifth straight game on Tuesday night when they hosted Goshen, winning 96-59. Madonna has scored 100 points in three games this season.
The Crusaders started to create some separation six minutes into the game. They went on a 9-0 run to go up 21-9 and also outscored Goshen 22-2 from the 3:11 mark in the first half to the 17:16 mark in the second.
Judah Simfukwe was 7-11 for Goshen with 19 points.
Kaden Johnson had ten points, five rebounds, and four assists. The trio of
Caleb Wright,
Elias Ramirez, and
Greg Johnson II had eight points each.
The downfalls for Goshen were three-point shooting and rebounding. Goshen shot a season-low 7.7% form behind the arc, although they shot 61.8% inside the arc. Madonna outrebounded Goshen 45-21. The Crusaders had five players that scored in double figures and improved to 11-3 this season.
Goshen takes a break for Christmas before playing in Illinois on December 30 and 31. The Leafs are at Trinity International on Friday, December 30, at 7:00 pm ET.
