GLENDALE, Ariz. - Goshen had 43 rebounds and a +10 rebounding margin but could not stop Arizona Christian's three-point shooting on Saturday during a 77-70 loss in Glendale.
The Maple Leafs took 71 shots in the game, their second highest total this season. But GC made just five of 20 three-point attempts while the Firestorm went 8-13. The home team was also 11-12 at the free-throw line.
Goshen allowed 27 points in the first quarter and were down nine going into the second. They were within two with under eight minutes to go.
Syanne Mohamed had 19 points, 13 rebounds, three assists and a block.
Kiana Oelling filled the statsheet with 18 points, six rebounds, six assists and five steals.
Zion Neat had ten points and
Kyla Foster had eight points and seven boards.
Goshen is at 8-4 this year and will next play December 29 when they host Aquinas at 6:00 pm.
