GOSHEN, Ind. - Maddie Ryman scored 32 points and went 15-16 from the free-throw line as her Grace Lancers beat the Goshen women's basketball team on Saturday 63-46.
Syanne Mohamed led Goshen with 17 points.
Goshen had a 17-13 lead after the first quarter, and Mohamed already had her first ten points. The Lancers used a 9-0 run in the second quarter to go up 27-24 at the half. Over the last two quarters, they outscored the Leafs 36-22. They shot 54.5% in the last two quarters after shooting 29.6% in the first two. Goshen got off to a hot start by shooting 57.1% in the first quarter but 24.3% for the remainder of the game.
Mohamed had 17 points and six rebounds but added a season-high seven turnovers.
Zion Neat had 13 points and seven rebounds but went 3-14 from the floor. They were two of just six scorers for the Leafs, the others being
Montasia McAllister,
Sophia Eli,
Kyla Foster and
Zoe Zellers.
