GOSHEN, Ind. - Goshen lost to #9 Bethel at home on Senior Night 5-0. Piero Sabroso had a hat trick for the Pilots and has now scored 16 goals in 16 games this season.

The Pilots won the NAIA National Championship in 2022, but had already lost four conference games this year. After losses to Indiana Wesleyan and Marian, Bethel got back on track and dominated early in Goshen. They scored three times between the 21st and 34th minutes and had nine first-half shots. Sabroso scored two goals in the second half and the team added 16 more shots to their total.

Goshen had six shots in the game with two shots on goal coming from Adrian Gonzalez Martinez. Eli Simones, Stephen Bandi, Eduardo Curvo and Iker Fernandez-Andes also took shots for the Leafs.

Pedro Vebber made seven saves and allowed two goals as Goshen's second half goalkeeper. Gregor Rommelspacher played the first and made three saves while allowing three goals.

Goshen is at Grace on Saturday, October 26, at 5:00 pm. This game was originally scheduled to be played at 7:00 pm.

We start by recognizing #18, Damjan Mojsin! Damjan is being escorted by his girlfriend, Joyce Daliya, and friends from the tennis team Pedro Scattolon and Matija Margetic. Damjan is a graphic design major with a minor in marketing. He plans to develop skills in graphic design, marketing and photography, ideally blending the three to achieve his future motivations. He also plans to enroll in a marketing masters program to broaden his perspectives in the field of business. Thank you, Damjan!

Next, we have #1, Gregor Rommelspacher! Gregor is escorted by his teammate and friend Mathurin Allawai. He is a film production major and intends to work in commercial production upon graduating from Goshen College. Thank you, Gregor!

Coming through now is #22, Javier Villalta Jimenez! Javier is escorted by his parents. He is a marketing major and holds and associates degree in business. After college he plans to become a marketer and promoter and start his own business. Thank you, Javier!

Pedro is being escorted by admissions counselor and friend Kellam Venosky, friends Eduardo Curvo and Lucas Cardoso, and is being joined by his girlfriend and family watching online. Rounding out our group of seniors is #5, Tim Wilkening! Tim is being escorted by Goshen College employees Jesse Loewen and Isaac Hernandez. Tim is a sports management major. After graduating, he will have two more years of eligibility left that he wants to use to find a new school where he can continue playing soccer at a high level and get a master's degree in sports management or sports administration.
