INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Goshen lost to IU Indy 97-55 in an exhibition game on Tuesday night. The Leafs turn around to play Defiance at home on Wednesday at 7:00 pm.
The Jaguars scored the first seven points of the game and went on to put up 50 points in the paint and 50 rebounds. Paul Zilinskas led the home team with 27 points. Goshen did better at the line, making 12-15 free-throw attempts.
Jacob Carlson was Goshen's leading scorer with 11 points. He had no turnovers in his 16 minutes on the court and shot 3-8 with two assists.
Andre Bradford had eight points and led the Leafs with six rebounds.
Tariq Humes also had eight points with no turnovers. Four more Goshen players scored at least four points. The Maple Leafs shot 29.5% and 20.0% from three.
Goshen hosts Defiance on Wednesday at 7:00 pm. Defiance rejoined the NAIA in the summer of 2024 after being an NCAA Division III school since 1991. The Yellow Jackets had been in the NAIA from shortly after WWII until that point.
