GOSHEN, Ind. - After a first-set win, the Maple Leafs men's volleyball team lost three sets in a row to Siena Heights on Friday night. The Saints won 20-25, 25-22, 25-21, 25-20.
Hasan Hadzic had 21 kills for the Leafs and a .357 hitting percentage.
Bruno Barac tied a season-high with nine kills and had an impressive hitting percentage of .571. This season, he has a .396 hitting percentage with 52 kills.
Avery Laforce had 38 assists and
Sawyer Frystak had a season-high four aces. Hadzic and
Ishmail Bangura both had two solo blocks.
Goshen won six of the last seven points in their first-set win. The Maple Leafs had a 16-13 lead in the second when Siena Heights rallied off seven straight points. Goshen tied the set at 22 when the Saints won the last three points to win 25-22.
GC was last tied with the visitors in the third set at 15-15, but they would win by four. The Saints forced the Leafs to use two timeouts during a 6-0 run in the fourth to go up 14-8, and Goshen never bounced back.
Goshen hosts #14 Lawrence Tech on Saturday, February 24, at 7:00 pm.
