KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Goshen baseball played a seven-inning exhibition game at Western Michigan on Tuesday, a Division I team playing in the Mid-American Conference (MAC). The Broncos won 12-2.

Western Michigan's lead was just 5-2 midway through the fifth before they started to break the game open. Goshen got on the board in the third on an RBI groundout from Trent Sillett that scored Jenner Rodammer. Later in the fourth, Nathan Pinedo hit a single down the left-field line that brought Peyton Smith home.

The Broncos had six runs on five hits in the bottom of the fifth inning. They walked in a run, had a pair of RBI singles, an RBI double and a sacrifice fly in the inning. WMU added a homer in the seventh, bringing the score to its final, 12-2.

Five Goshen pitchers got some playing time in the exhibition: Benjamin Witterstaetter, Connor Daniel, Drew Miles, Payton Hill, and Brody Kennedy. Joseph Cerda had a 3-4 day with three singles. Jenner Rodammer went 2-3 with a double, a run, and a walk. The other two GC hits came from Nathan Pinedo and Hunter Oborn.
