WINONA LAKE, Ind. - Grace used three second-half goals and a staunch defense to defeat Goshen 4-0 in Winona Lake on Saturday afternoon and improve their record to 4-1-0 in the Crossroads League.
Grace scored the first goal of the match in the 22nd minute. Then they had quick successive goals in the 58th and 60th minutes. The Lancers added the fourth in the 70th minute. Vasco Tavares, Luis Munoz, Diego Yanes and Juan Garcia were the goal scorers.
Goshen was held to just one shot in the game - only the second time they have had fewer than eight shots in a game this season. It was the first time the Leafs haven't had a shot on goal in a game since September 4, 2015 against Baker (Kan.).
Eli Simones took the lone shot for the Leafs.
Gabriel Viau made four saves in goal. Grace had 12 shots, but eight were on frame.
