HUNTINGTON, Ind. - In their fourth straight road match, the Maple Leafs women's volleyball team lost in three sets to Huntington. The Foresters, who are receiving votes in the NAIA coaches poll, won 25-18, 25-15, 25-8.
Alaina Wolfe had eight digs in the match and became the sixth Goshen player in program history with 1,200 career digs and the first to hit the milestone since Missy Mackowiak did on October 27, 2012 against Mount Mercy.
Goshen had just three attack errors in the first set but the Foresters had 16 kills. The Foresters had a hitting percentage of at least .440 in each of the next two sets, and Goshen was unable to beat Huntington for a second season in a row. The Leafs hitting percentage decreased each set.
Nevaeh Benjamin and
Carmin Corey had six kills each for Goshen.
Sydney Stutsman had 12 assists and
Kelsie Hankins added eight. Stutsman also had Goshen's lone ace in the match and was tied for the team lead in digs with eight.
Goshen hosts Marian on Saturday, November 1, at 3:00 pm for Senior Day. Seniors

Brenna Spangler and
Sydney Stutsman will be recognized before the match. After the second set, the Hannah Grieser Hochstetler Memorial Award will be given to a Goshen player who represents hard work as a team player with a positive attitude and spreads love and compassion throughout the volleyball program.
