JACKSON, Mich. - The Crossroads League announced their postseason women's volleyball awards on Monday and Goshen had three players earn honors.
Alaina Wolfe,
Sydney Stutsman and
Brenna Spangler were named Honorable Mention All-Crossroads League.
Wolfe, a junior, has made the honorable mention team all three years she has been at Goshen. The libero had 382 digs for the season, averaging 3.75 per set. She also had 81 assists, her highest total in a season yet. She crossed the 1,000 dig milestone earlier in the season and is now at 1,231 for her career.
Stutsman returned for her senior season after not playing at all in 2024 and playing just two sets in 2023. Her resiliency was shown by surpassing 1,000 career assists despite playing just two seasons, finishing with 1,144 as a Maple Leaf. This season she had 41 aces, averaging 0.38 per set. Comparatively, she had just 14 in her first season. She had 201 digs across the 109 sets she played.
Spangler had more kills, aces, digs and solo blocks than she had in any of her other three seasons in Goshen. She had 22 solo blocks and 48 block assists, averaging 0.64 blocks per set. Her 30 assists were more than her previous three seasons combined.
Indiana Wesleyan's Candace Moats was once again named the Crossroads League Coach of the Year, while IWU's Eva Joldersma and Abbigail Porter also repeated as the CL Player of the Year and CL Setter of the Year.
Other top honors went to Mount Vernon Nazarene's Molly Galaszewski as the CL Assistant Coach of the Year, Huntington's Layla Meyer as the CL Libero of the Year and MVNU's Evelyn Brown as the CL Freshman of the Year.
The All-Crossroads League awards were voted on by the CL's head volleyball coaches. #3 Indiana Wesleyan completed a sweep of the regular season and tournament championships for a third-straight season.
The Leafs finished ninth in the Crossroads League, one spot away from making the conference tournament. A notable highlight of the season was the team's season sweep against Saint Francis. It was the first time Goshen swept the season series with the Cougars since 2015 and was their first season series sweep of any conference opponent since 2019.
